Where should I stay in Lofoten to see the midnight sun?
Stay on or near the outer, north-facing coast. Svolvær and Leknes are shaded by mountains, so Visit Lofoten points instead to places such as Laukvik, Hov on Gimsøy, Eggum, Unstad, Uttakleiv and Skagsanden at Flakstad, where Lofoten Beach Camp has cabins and camping. Laukvik and Hov are 20–30 minutes' drive from Svolvær.
