Why stay here

Nyvågar sits on the shore at Storvågan near Kabelvåg, a historically important area tied to Vågar, the medieval fishing town that appears at the top of old European maps; Svolvær is 7 km away. The Lofotspa has outdoor heated hot tubs, a sauna with large windows facing the mountains and Vestfjorden, and a floating jetty for sea dips in summer and winter. Its Lofoten Loft Bar holds a collection of around 300 aquavits.

Things to consider

The Lofoten Loft Bar opens on Fridays only (17:00–23:00). Kitchen facilities vary: the hotel lists cabins as only partly having their own kitchen, so check the unit if you plan to self-cater. Reception is staffed 07:30–23:00.
