Kalle i Lofoten
Self-catering rorbuer and two houses at Kalle, a family-run former trading post at the end of the road below Vågakallen, west of Kabelvåg, with cabins restored from around 1870.
Why stay here
Kalle is a small trading and fishing station from the late 19th century that has served as a fish-trading post, post office and telegraph, and it keeps its white main house and original rorbuer. It lies at the end of the road at the foot of Vågakallen, away from the busier villages. The bay was used as a sheltered harbour during the winter fishery.

Things to consider
The owners describe Kalle as being a bit outside civilisation: it is at the end of a side road and the site does not list a restaurant or shop, so plan to self-cater and bring supplies. The cabins are about 40 m².
The accommodation
