The routes on this guide
Eight, from three days to ten, in summer and winter. Each gives the drive day by day with approximate distances, and where to stay along the way.
Three days
Two versions. The summer route runs Leknes, the outer beaches, Reine and Å. The winter route stays in the north-east, around Svolvær, Henningsvær and Borg, because the days are short and the driving is slower.
Five days
Svolvær to Reine along the E10, and a winter version of the same run that works to the daylight rather than against it.
Seven days
Three. One takes in a Trollfjord boat trip from Svolvær; one is built around the midnight sun; and the winter route follows the fishing season from Svolvær down to Å.
Ten days
Svolvær to Å with the outer-coast detours: Unstad, Eggum, Uttakleiv and Fredvang, which the shorter routes have to leave out.
Reading them
Distances are approximate and the driving times are not the same in February as in July. Visit Lofoten describes winter conditions as typically starting in November and lasting into late April, and several side roads are narrow. The routes name where to stay at each stop rather than assuming a single base, because moving on is usually the point.

A three-day winter plan for November to March based in Svolvær: a northern lights tour, a RIB trip into Trollfjorden, SKREI in Kabelvåg, Henningsvær and the Viking museum at Borg, with short daylight drives and no winter summits.
Lofoten in 3 days: Leknes, the outer beaches, Reine and Å
3 days
A three-day loop from Leknes: the Viking museum at Borg and Haukland beach, then the E10 through Nusfjord and Flakstad to Reine and Å, and a morning on Reinebringen or at Bunes beach. Drive times come from OpenStreetMap routing.
Lofoten in 5 days: Svolvær to Reine along the E10
5 days
Five days one way along the E10: Svolvær and Fløya, SKREI in Kabelvåg, Henningsvær, Borg and Haukland beach, Nusfjord and Kvalvika, then Reine and Å. Leave on the Moskenes ferry to Bodø or fly home from Leknes.
Lofoten in 5 days in winter: Svolvær to Reine by daylight
5 days
Five winter days from Svolvær to Reine: northern lights tours at each end, a RIB trip into Trollfjorden, SKREI, Henningsvær, Borg, Nusfjord and Å. Drives are kept to daylight hours and summit hikes are left out.
Lofoten in 7 days: Svolvær to Å with a Trollfjord boat trip
7 days
A week along the E10 with six bases: two nights in Svolvær and a boat into Trollfjorden, then Henningsvær, Ballstad, Ramberg and Reine, ending at Å near the Moskenes ferry. Kvalvika, Reinebringen and Bunes beach each get their own day.
Lofoten in 7 days in summer: a midnight sun itinerary
7 days
A week in Lofoten from late May to mid-July, planned around the midnight sun: evening visits to Laukvika, Eggum and Uttakleiv, night hikes on Festvågtinden and Ryten, a RIB safari from Henningsvær and a late boat to Bunesstranda.

A week in Lofoten between November and March: Trollfjorden by RIB, SKREI, Henningsvær, Borg, Ballstad's fishing harbour, a night in Nusfjord, and Reine and Å, with evenings free for northern lights and no winter summits.
Lofoten in 10 days: Svolvær to Å with the outer-coast detours
10 days
Ten days and nine overnight stops from Svolvær to Å. Adds Laukvika, Hov, Eggum, Unstad, Vikten and a night in Fredvang to the main E10 stops, with separate days for Trollfjorden, Kvalvika, Reinebringen and Bunes beach.
