Nusfjord Village & Resort

Sleeping inside a preserved fishing village, in a cabin with its own history rather than a room in a block, with three kitchens cooking for you a short walk away and a sauna and hot tub open to every guest.

Couples in the smaller harbour and village cabins, which take two; families and groups in the sea-view village suite for six, the 104 m² suite, or the House of Dahl, which sleeps ten and allows up to nine children. The isolated island cabin, with its boat transfer, suits people who want to be genuinely apart.

Payment is taken by bank transfer before arrival, and the resort contacts you after booking to arrange it — cards are not the default and the listing names cash as an accepted method on site. Reception closes at 17:00, so a later arrival has to be agreed in advance. Check-in is limited to guests of 18 or over, children of seven and up are charged as adults, and no cot or extra bed is offered. Pets are not accepted. The village sits at the end of a side road 6 km long, which the resort says is no trouble to drive in winter.

Nine grades are bookable. Harbour Cabin Standard (35 m², two guests), Harbour Cabin Suite (45 m², two), Harbour Cabin Suite Plus (65 m², four), Village Cabin Suite (35 m², two), Village Cabin Suite Plus (50 m², three), Village Suite with Seaview (60 m², six), a Suite of 104 m² for six, the House of Dahl (220 m², ten) and a Remote Fisherman's Cabin of 50 m² for four with boat transport included. Bedrooms on the listing are mostly a super-king double with its own bathroom. Rooms carry bathrobes, slippers, free toiletries, a minibar, a kettle or coffee machine, a hairdryer and linen; several have a kitchenette or kitchen with a dishwasher and oven, an extra bathroom or toilet, a bath as well as a shower, a patio and outdoor furniture. Interconnecting cabins are available and some units sit entirely on the ground floor.

Free WiFi and free parking, a sauna, a hot tub, a fitness centre, an airport shuttle with pick-up and drop-off, a minimarket, a coffee house and room-level air conditioning. Cabins have heating, soundproofing, hardwood or parquet floors, hypoallergenic bedding, a desk and a socket by the bed. The resort is non-smoking.

Breakfast is served, and Booking.com lists three restaurants, a bar, a snack bar, a coffee house and kids' meals. The resort names Restaurant Karoline for dinner, the Oriana Tavern for pizza and the Landhandleriet café for soup, waffles and cakes, and has said the restaurant opens over 23–25 December, with a set menu on the final two evenings.

The village of Nusfjord, on the south coast of Flakstadøya in Flakstad municipality, registered by Kartverket as a tettsted. The resort's buildings stand around the harbour and in the lanes behind it, and the guide's centre point for Nusfjord is 25 metres from the map pin.

The resort has told guests the village lies 6 km off the main road and that driving in causes no difficulty. An airport shuttle, with pick-up and drop-off, is listed on Booking.com, and the resort says transfers are booked through its own site.
