Rorbu in Nusfjord

Why stay here

The cabins are the village itself: rorbuer built between 1888 and 1900, some protected as cultural heritage, set around the wharf or just behind it. Guests stay inside one of Lofoten's best-preserved fishing villages, with five eateries a short walk from the door. Breakfast is included, and the resort runs its own fishing, kayaking, RIB and northern lights trips.

Things to consider

Nusfjord is about 30 minutes' drive from Leknes and the nearest grocery store is in Ramberg, 15–20 minutes away. The rorbuer are not wheelchair accessible, pets are not allowed and there is no laundry service. Public buses into the village are very limited, so a car or the resort's transfer is the practical option.

The accommodation

Sizes run from a 20 m² one-bedroom standard cabin for two to a 70 m² three-bedroom sea-view suite for six with a kitchen. Separate options include the House of Dahl (the former owner's residence), the Upper Ice House, the Heritage protected rorbuer and the Isolated Fisherman, a private cabin ten minutes away by boat.
