Holiday home in Haug, near Leknes

The cabin stands at Lilleeid, on the water a couple of hundred metres from another listing in this guide. Booking.com sells one unit of 69 square metres and is of two minds about its size: the unit is titled a three-bedroom house, while both the description and the room breakdown give two bedrooms, each with a double bed, plus a sofa bed in the living room. Three beds are counted, and the per-room limits come to five people.

Inside there is a kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven, a hob, a fridge, a kettle and kitchenware, a dining table and area, a seating area, a sofa, a fireplace, heating, a private entrance, a wardrobe, towels and linen, and one bathroom with a bath or shower. A washing machine is listed. The terrace faces the sea and the mountains.

Arrival runs from 16:00 to 21:00 and departure is by 11:00. The refundable NOK 3,000 damage deposit is unusual in its timing: it is charged to a credit card seven days before arrival rather than on the day, and returned within a week of check-out once the cabin has been inspected.

Who it’s for

Neither cots nor extra beds are offered, pets are not accepted, and quiet hours run from 23:00 to 07:00.
