Self-caterers who want the fishing-village setting rather than a hotel corridor, and dog owners — pets are taken. Party size decides the flat: two in the studio, four in the two-bedroom, six in the three-bedroom. Nobody under 18 can check in.

Booking.com's guest score is 5.2 from 97 reviews, low for Lofoten and based on enough stays to mean something — read the reviews before booking. Check-in is self-service only, between 17:00 and 23:30, with your time given beforehand; departure runs 05:00 to 11:00. The minimum age to check in is 18. The listing contradicts itself on cots: one line prices a cot for a child under two at NOK 250 a night, the next says no cot or extra bed is available. Quiet is asked for from 22:00 to 08:00 and parties are refused. Some units are reached by stairs while others are described as on the ground floor, so state what you need when you book.

Three types of apartment in one building: a 35 m² studio for two, a 45 m² two-bedroom flat for four and a 70 m² three-bedroom flat for six. Booking.com lists six bedrooms in total across the three types — one with a double bed and its own bathroom, five with two single beds each — without saying which belongs to which flat, so confirm the layout of your unit with the property. Each flat has a private bathroom with a bath or shower, a hairdryer, towels and toilet paper. Linen is provided. No bathroom count is published per unit.

Booking.com's facility list carries both 'upper floors accessible by stairs only' and an entry describing a unit as entirely on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible. Which applies depends on the flat, so state what you need when booking.

Heating, a private entrance, a seating area, a sofa, a desk, a dining table and wardrobes. A tumble dryer and cleaning products are listed. Balconies and a patio are provided. A minimarket trades on the site and bicycles and boats can be hired. WiFi and parking are free and the building is non-smoking.

Self-catering. Each flat has a kitchen with a hob, an oven, a fridge, an electric kettle, a coffee machine, a tea and coffee maker and kitchenware, with a dining table and dining area. A minimarket is on the site for supplies, and Booking.com places a restaurant at the neighbouring Kabelvåg hotel a minute's walk away. Nothing is served at Tyskhella itself.

Booking.com gives the Lofot Museum and Galleri Espolin as 1 km from the building, Svolvær town centre as 5 km, and Svolvær Airport as a twelve-minute drive. Parking on the site is free, and bicycles and boats can be hired there.
