Last verified 16 September 2026

Holiday home in Valen, near Fredvang

Five single beds and not a double among them: that is the layout here, two in one bedroom and three in the other, which makes this a house for a group of friends rather than for couples. It stands on Andopsveien at Valen, with Kartverket's registered point for the hamlet about 180 m from the map pin and Fredvang 6.9 km away in a straight line.

The 85 m² runs to a living room with a sofa and a seating area, a dining area and a flat-screen TV, one private bathroom with a bath or shower, and a sauna — the thing that sets it apart from the other houses on this stretch. Sea and mountain views are recorded, and there is a balcony as well as a terrace with outdoor furniture.

The kitchen is fitted with an oven, a hob, a dishwasher, a fridge, a kettle, a coffee machine, a tea and coffee maker and kitchenware, and a washing machine and tumble dryer take care of the laundry. WiFi and private parking are free, the house has its own entrance and Booking.com gives it four tiles on a guest score of 9.3 from 44 reviews.

Why stay here

A sauna, five beds and a whole detached house for one party, on the road that runs out towards Fredvang and the mountains behind it. The laundry pair — washing machine and tumble dryer — matters more than it sounds after a week of walking in Lofoten weather.

Who it’s for

A group of up to five walkers, climbers or anglers who want their own beds rather than shared doubles. Couples should note that every bed is a single. There is no cot and no extra bed, so a family with a baby is not well served, and the deposit and quiet hours point at guests who keep the place calm.
