Sakrisøy Rorbuer
Ochre-coloured fishermen's cabins on poles at the water's edge on Sakrisøy, a small island on the E10 between Reine and Hamnøy. The cabins have been in the Gylseth family for five generations and have taken guests since 1992.
Why stay here
The family restores the cabins with local carpenters, plumbers and electricians, and the older interiors have been kept, including the fishermen's bunks under the ceiling. Reine is 3 km away, and Anita's Seafood, the Underhuset restaurant and an activity centre used by summer kayak and SUP operators are on the same island.
