Few places in this part of Vestvågøy put a cabin at camp prices next to a sauna, a hot tub and a lake with kayaks on it. The valley position halves the driving: Leknes and Stamsund are both about 7 km away, so the E10 and the southern harbour are each a short run.

Travellers who want a roof, a bed and a kitchen without hotel prices, and who do not mind that some of the facilities are shared. Families are catered for — Booking.com carries the family-rooms marker and a cot is free for a child up to two — and pets are accepted. Anyone who needs a private bathroom should check which cabin type they are booking.

Bed linen and towels are not included. The camp answered a guest question to say a set costs NOK 100, so pack your own or budget for it. Facilities are mixed: a shared bathroom, shared toilet and shared kitchen appear on the listing alongside private bathrooms and kitchenettes, and which you get depends on the cabin. Children from three years old are charged at the adult rate. No extra bed can be added, though a cot is free under two, and pets may carry a charge. The small 9 m² cabins are sold for up to four people, which is a tight fit by any measure.

Five unit types on Booking.com. Two-Bedroom Villa, 48 m², sold for four; a second Two-Bedroom Villa of 48 m² sold for six; One-Bedroom Villa, 24 m², sold for four; and two small units of 9 m², one sold for four and one for two. Bed arrangements across them include rooms with two single beds, rooms with a double bed and a bunk bed, a room with a single and a double, a sofa bed in a living room, a room of four bunk beds and a room with a double bed. Towels and sheets carry an extra fee.

WiFi and private parking are both free. Cabins are heated, and some have a private bathroom with a shower and some a kitchenette with a refrigerator, oven, hob, kettle, kitchenware and a tea and coffee maker. A shared kitchen, shared bathroom and shared toilet are listed, along with a terrace, a picnic area, barbecue facilities and a private beach area. The camp's own site adds a sauna, a hot tub, a service building with a dining hall, bike, scooter and car hire, and kayaks free to use on the lake; it also says freezers are available on site.

Self-catering. Cooking is done either in a cabin kitchenette or in the kitchen in the service building, and there are barbecue facilities and a picnic area outside. The camp told a guest it intends to add a small buffet breakfast, but there is no breakfast service yet and no restaurant or bar on the listing. Lofotenmat Sa is given as 10 km away.

The camp lies on Hagskarveien, the road that crosses the middle of Vestvågøy between Leknes and Stamsund, beside a lake in a sheltered valley, in Vestvågøy municipality. Kartverket's nearest registered settlement name is Tabakken, 3.4 km off, and the point this guide uses for Leknes is 6 km away in a straight line. The camp's own site puts it 7 km from Leknes and 7 km from Stamsund.

Booking.com gives Vestvågøy Rådhus as 7.4 km away, Leknes Airport as 8 km, Lofotenmat Sa as 10 km and Borga Radarstasjon as 31 km. The camp's own site gives 7 km to Leknes and 7 km to Stamsund, and says it hires out bikes, scooters and cars.
