Why stay here

Each sea house sleeps eight across four bedrooms and two bathrooms, which suits families and groups who want one self-contained unit near Svolvær centre. The houses stand on the quay on Svinøya, and one ground-floor bedroom in each opens straight onto the deck on the sea side. Guests can use the quayside jacuzzi at no extra charge by arrangement, and boats can be hired on site.

Things to consider

There is no reception desk: stays must be paid in advance, and the door code is sent by text or email on arrival day. The service office is staffed on weekdays only, with an on-call number outside those hours, and meals are self-catered or taken at the operator's Nordis Restaurant on the town square.

Six vertically divided sea houses with four bedrooms (one double and three twin or single rooms), two bathrooms, a kitchen and living room; the upstairs main bedroom has a sea-view balcony. There is also a four-bedroom villa for seven with a sea view, and a residence let only by direct enquiry.
