Lofoten Rorbuer
A family-run rorbu business in Svolvær harbour, based in an 1828 pier building that was taken down on Svinøya in 1937 and rebuilt at Marinepollen in 1938, with 16 rooms and rorbu suites for two to five people.
Why stay here
The main building is one of Svolvær's oldest sea houses: it stood beside today's Børsen Spiseri on Svinøya until 1937 and was rebuilt at Marinepollen the following year, later used for fish reception, as a fishermen's boathouse and for storing fishing gear. Every unit has cooking facilities, and the site hires out bikes and Smartliner 23 Fisher boats with chart plotters and echo sounders. An enclosed, heated terrace gives a sheltered place to sit outside in winter.
