Å Rorbuer

Most of the cabins date from the early 1900s, when fishermen used them during the fishing seasons, and some stand on stilts over the sea. Å is often described as the best-preserved fishing village in Lofoten. Cabins range from 30 m² one-bedroom units to large three-bedroom cabins for eight, and the Moskenes ferry to Bodø is 5.3 km away.

The operator describes its two-bedroom and large three-bedroom cabins as suited to families and groups of friends. The Å Rooms, with a washbasin in the room and shared bathrooms in the hallway, are pitched as the simpler, lower-cost option.

Cabins differ, and not all have sea or mountain views, so ask when booking if the view matters. The operator lists a kitchenette as 'not available in all' cabins, although each cabin type described on its rooms page includes a kitchen. The 11 Å Rooms share four bathrooms. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 11:00.

Fishermen's cabins: one-bedroom (30 m², two guests, small kitchen), two-bedroom (50 m², four guests), three-bedroom (six guests, twin beds) and large three-bedroom (eight guests, single and bunk beds); some of the larger cabins have a dishwasher. The resort's home page gives both 20 and 22 cabins. Å Hotell, in the former Salteriet fish-salting building, has nine newly built rooms with private bathrooms (standard doubles and six superior rooms, new for summer 2026), although the ahotell.no page description says 14 new rooms and the older rooms page still describes Salteriet rooms with shared bathrooms. The 11 Å Rooms above the reception share bathrooms.

Booking.com lists facilities for disabled guests and units entirely on the ground floor.

Free Wi-Fi and parking, breakfast, a lobby bar and bistro, and an event room above the restaurant for up to 30 people. The cabins have a Nespresso machine, down duvets and Molton Brown toiletries.

Å Restaurant (named Brygga Restaurant on the resort's home page), in a former fish receiving station and stockfish warehouse, is listed as open daily 08:00–21:00 (20:00 on Sundays), with a seafood-led menu and some meat dishes. The Lobbybar & Bistro in the same building serves light meals, and lunch outside the main summer season. Visit Lofoten's older entry describes the restaurant's breakfast, lunch and dinner service as summer-season.
