Apartment in Bøstad, near Henningsvær

Bøstad lies inland on Vestvågøy, on the road north towards Eggum and Unstad, and this flat occupies the ground floor of a house on Reinhaugveien. Seventy-five square metres of it: two bedrooms with a double bed each, a fitted kitchen, a seating area with a fireplace and a desk, a balcony and a sun terrace over the garden.

It is an adults' flat by the owner's rule — the listing states that children are not accepted, and there are no cots or extra beds. It also lists family rooms among its facilities, which pulls in the opposite direction, so confirm the position if you are travelling with children.

Two other things to weigh. Booking.com records no internet at the flat, unusual for a Lofoten let, and publishes a maximum of four guests. Neither is fatal, but both are worth an email before booking.

Why stay here

A quiet inland base with a fireplace, a garden and a sun terrace, on one floor, with parking at the door and no neighbours sharing the entrance.

Who it’s for

Adults travelling as a couple or a pair of couples with a car, who want a base between Leknes and the north-coast beaches. Not suitable for anyone bringing children, and not for anyone who needs to work online.
