Holiday home in Sandsund, near Leknes

The address is Solstranda 62, and Booking.com files the place under Pettvik. Kartverket's nearest registered settlement name is Sandsund, but its point lies about 2.6 km away, so the village label here is looser than usual — the beach and the road are the better landmarks. Leknes is 4.2 km off in a straight line.

The house is 85 m² and let whole. Three bedrooms hold an extra-large double, a large double and a bunk bed, and Booking.com's published room occupancy allows six. There are two bathrooms, and the facility list runs to a private bathroom, towels and linen.

A living room with a dining area and a fireplace takes up the middle of the house, the kitchen is fitted, and a washing machine and cleaning products are provided. A terrace and a garden sit outside, with the sea on one side and the garden on the other. Parking and WiFi are free.

Why stay here

Who it’s for

A family with children: the third bedroom is a bunk room, and two bathrooms take the pressure off a single morning queue. Babies are harder — no cot and no extra bed can be added, and from three years old a child pays the adult rate.
