Sørvågen is the last village of any size before the road ends at Å, and this is a whole house in it rather than a room: six beds, a kitchen, a washing machine and a terrace on the water side, ten minutes from the Moskenes ferry and at the foot of the Munkebu and Hermannsdalstinden walks.

A family or two couples travelling together, or a walking party of up to six who want to cook and dry kit between days out. Pets are taken on request. It suits people less well if a baby is coming: no cot and no extra bed can be added.

Arrival is between 16:00 and 21:00 and the owner wants your time beforehand; departure is by 11:00. A refundable NOK 3,000 damage deposit is taken by credit card when you arrive and returned within a week of check-out after the house is looked over. Neither a cot nor an extra bed can be added, quiet is asked for between 23:00 and 07:00, and hen and stag groups are turned away. There is one bathroom for six people.

One detached holiday home of 65 m² with a private entrance, let whole. Two bedrooms — one with a large double bed, one with a bunk bed — and a sofa bed in the living room, three sleeping places in all, with a maximum of six guests. One bathroom with a shower, a toilet, towels, toilet paper and a hairdryer. Linen is provided and the house is non-smoking.

Heating throughout, a flat-screen TV, a sofa and a seating area, and a dining table and dining area. A washing machine handles laundry. Outside there is a terrace, with sea and mountain views recorded on the listing. WiFi and private parking on the site are both free, and the house has its own entrance.

Self-catering. The kitchen carries an oven, a hob, a fridge, an electric kettle, a coffee machine, a tea and coffee maker and kitchenware, with a dining table alongside. No breakfast, restaurant or bar is listed. An answer from the owner on the listing puts a small shop 1 km away, a second at 1.5 km, and a larger one 7 km off at Reine.

Moskenesveien 1086 at Sørvågen, in Moskenes municipality at the southern end of the Lofoten road. Kartverket's registered point for Sørvågen is about 740 m from the house, and the village centre of the guide's Sørvågen entry is 0.7 km away in a straight line. The listing records sea and mountain views and a rural setting.

Booking.com gives Nusfjord as 48 km from the house and Værøy Heliport Airport as 41 km. Free private parking sits on the site. The owner has answered on the listing that no bus runs from the Moskenes ferry quay to the house, but that Reine Taxi and Moskenes Taxi both serve the village, and should be booked ahead — worth doing for the boat that berths late in the evening, since check-in closes at 21:00.
