Villa Bluebird

Five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a sauna in one building, minutes from the middle of Henningsvær on foot. Two of the bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is what makes a house this size work for two or three families at once.

A large group or two or three families sharing, all of them over 18 — nobody younger may check in. The sofa-bed room means the fifth bedroom is a different proposition from the other four, so decide who takes it before you arrive. No cot and no extra bed are available, and dogs are refused.

Booking.com publishes a maximum of eight guests across the five bedrooms. One of the five rooms holds a sofa bed rather than a proper bed. Nobody under 18 can check in, and neither a cot nor an extra bed is available, which rules out small children in practice. Pets are refused. Damage of up to NOK 1,000 can be charged after check-out under the property's damage policy. Arrival runs from 16:00 to 23:00 with your time wanted in advance, and departure is any time from 06:00 to 11:00. The operator lets more than one unit at the address — it has confirmed on the listing that a separate three-bedroom apartment also has three bathrooms — so check which one your booking covers.

One detached villa of 270 m². Five bedrooms: three with a large double bed, one with a double and one with a sofa bed; Booking.com records an en-suite against the first of them and counts five beds. Three bathrooms in total, which the letting agent describes as two en-suites and one shared; the facilities list carries a bath as well as a shower, plus an additional toilet, a hairdryer, towels and toilet paper. Also a dressing room, a desk, a sofa, a dining area and a dining table, with a flat-screen TV carrying a streaming service. Bed linen is supplied; floors are tile or marble and hardwood or parquet.

Free WiFi and free parking on site. Air conditioning, an indoor sauna, fireplaces, an iron and ironing facilities. The kitchen holds an oven, a hob, a dishwasher, a fridge, a coffee machine, a tea and coffee maker, an electric kettle and kitchenware, with a washing machine; Booking.com also lists a shared kitchen and a shared lounge area. Outside there are a balcony, a patio, a terrace, a barbecue, outdoor furniture, an outdoor dining area and a garden, with sea, garden and mountain views.

Self-catering, with no meals served. The kitchen carries an oven, a hob, a dishwasher, a fridge and a coffee machine, and eating can happen at the dining table, at the outdoor dining area or off the barbecue.

Henningsværveien 11 in Henningsvær, the tettsted Kartverket registers about 223 metres away, in Vågan municipality. The centre point this guide uses for Henningsvær is 200 metres off in a straight line, so the villa is in the village rather than on its edge. Views run to sea, garden and mountain.

Booking.com gives Galleri Espolin as 19 km from the villa, Svolvær Torg as 24 km, Nordnorsk Kunstnersenter as 24 km and Leknes Airport as 59 km. No bus route or airport shuttle is listed.
