Why stay here

The rooms were built into the second and third floors of the old factory, keeping reused bricks, ash floors and large industrial windows that look over the village. The building below is a busy meeting place with food, drink, yoga classes, concerts and events. The wooden sauna outside faces the sea and mountains, and hotel guests get a reduced rate.

Who it’s for

  • Families

Travellers interested in design, food and culture rather than a quiet retreat. Family rooms for four to six and a crew room for groups are available, and dogs are welcome in the largest rooms.

Highlights

  • Rooms inside a converted carpentry factory
  • Café, pizzeria, restaurant, bar and wine bar in the building
  • Wooden sauna by the sea outside the factory
  • Breakfast included in stays

Things to consider

The building hosts concerts, clubs and events, including on the third floor in summer. Only three rooms have a small kitchenette, meant for snacks and hot drinks. Full payment is taken at booking, and guest parking outside is limited to the spaces available.

The accommodation

Ten rooms listed on the hotel's site: double rooms, a double with sleeping loft, family rooms for four to six and a crew room for groups. Designed by Jonathan Tuckey and lille frøen architects, with exposed concrete and reused materials.
