Thon Hotel Svolvær

It stands on the quay 50 metres from the town centre and bus terminal. In front of the hotel, LYST Lofoten Sauna has two saunas on a floating jetty looking over Vestfjorden and the harbour entrance. The kitchen grows vegetables and herbs in a greenhouse on the roof, and an activity package takes guests cod fishing on a traditional boat, then to the hotel's fish-filleting room, before dinner in the restaurant.

Thon lists it as a family-friendly hotel, and business rooms and suites take up to four. It also suits travellers using the bus network, with the terminal 50 metres away, and couples, for whom it sells a romantic package.

There is no on-site car park listed: parking is on the street or paid nearby, with electric car charging available. The floating sauna runs as LYST Lofoten Sauna with its own opening hours. The hotel is also a large conference venue.

211 rooms: standard doubles and twins from 24 m², superior rooms with a view, business rooms from 30 m², junior suites, suites and the Istårn Suite facing Vestfjorden. Accessible rooms are available in standard and superior grades.
