Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sea-facing balcony inside the village itself, so Henningsvær's harbour, galleries and restaurants are a walk rather than a drive.

Two couples, or a family with children, who can arrive inside the evening window and do not mind stairs. The high chair and cot suit a baby; there are no extra beds for older children.

The check-in window is narrow — 16:00 to 21:00, with your time given in advance — and checkout is by 11:00. NOK 3,000 is held as a refundable damage deposit, taken by credit card on arrival and returned within seven days after an inspection. The apartment is on the second floor and upper floors are reached by stairs only. Quiet hours run from 23:00 to 07:00, parties are not allowed and hen or stag groups are refused. A cot can be requested but there are no extra beds, and pets need clearing in advance.

One Two-Bedroom Apartment of 70 m² with four beds: an extra-large double in one bedroom, two single beds in the other, and a sofa bed in the living room. Booking.com's room plan allows two people in each of those three spaces, so up to six. Two bathrooms, with a shower, towels and a hairdryer. The unit is semi-detached and reached by stairs to the second floor.

Self-catering. The apartment has a full kitchen and a dining area; Henningsvær's cafés and restaurants are in walking distance in the village.

Banhammaren 1C in Henningsvær, the fishing village strung over islets off the south coast of Austvågøy in Vågan. Kartverket records Henningsvær as a built-up area, and the apartment is about 500 metres from its centre in a straight line, on the water's edge.

Booking.com gives Galleri Espolin as 20 km, Svolvær Torg, Nordnorsk Kunstnersenter and the Lofoten attraction as 25 km, Svolværgeita as 26 km and Leknes Airport as 60 km. Parking at the apartment is free, which matters in a village where street space is tight.
