Nordis Apartments

The building sits on the square in the middle of Svolvær, a few metres from the port terminal used by Hurtigruten and express boats. Every bedroom has a private bathroom, and the three-bedroom apartments include a sauna. Guests receive a discount at the restaurant on the first floor and can order food up to the apartment.

The operator pitches the apartments at families and groups of friends who want more space than a hotel room, and also hosts courses and meetings.

There is no reception: door codes arrive by text and email when the apartment is ready (after 16:00), and check-out is by 11:00. The apartments have kitchenettes or kitchen nooks rather than full kitchens.

Ten apartments in three categories: three bedrooms with a sauna, two bedrooms with a harbour view, and standard two-bedroom units. All have a living room with dining table, a kitchenette and TV with Chromecast; some look over the square and mountains, others over the harbour.

Lift in the building, automatic check-in and check-out, coffee machine in every apartment, a staffed service office and a 24-hour on-call line.

Nordis Restaurant on the first floor of the building gives apartment guests a 10% discount and delivers to the apartments.
