Huset i Stamsund

A whole house near Stamsund that takes dogs for nothing, with a fireplace, a tumble dryer, a sea-facing terrace and a balcony looking over the lake.

A family or a small group with a car and a dog, happy to be at Stamsund rather than in Leknes, and content with one bathroom between three bedrooms. Anyone needing a cot or an extra bed will have to look elsewhere.

Booking.com gives the floor area as 6 m², which cannot be right for a three-bedroom house, so treat the size as unknown. Booking.com publishes a maximum of five guests across the four beds. Upper floors are reached by stairs alone. No cot or extra bed can be added, smoking and parties are refused, and your arrival time must be sent in advance. Check-in opens at 16:00 and check-out is by 12:00.

One house with three bedrooms and four beds: a double in the first, two singles in the second and a single in the third. One bathroom with a bath or shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries, plus towels, linen and a dressing room. Booking.com gives no star rating.

Upper floors are reached by stairs only.

Parking and WiFi are both free, with heating, a private entrance, hardwood or parquet floors, a fireplace, a flat-screen television with streaming, a desk, a seating area and board games. A washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, iron and drying rack cover the chores. Outside there is a balcony, a patio, a terrace, a garden, a barbecue, outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area. Non-smoking.

Self-catering. The kitchen holds an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and kitchenware, with a dining table indoors and a barbecue outside. No meals are offered.
