Holiday home with spectacular views

Three double bedrooms under one roof, a hundred metres square of it, inside a 1930 building in the middle of Henningsvær — and free parking, which the village itself is short of. Nothing here needs a car once you have arrived.

Adults only, and the listing means it: children are not accepted at all, and no cot or extra bed can be added. Three couples, or a group of up to six adults, fit the bed layout exactly. Dog owners can ask, as pets are taken on request at no charge.

Check-in begins at 15:00 and the owner wants your arrival time beforehand; check-out is 11:00. Smoking and parties are both refused, along with hen and stag groups. There is one bathroom for three bedrooms.

One apartment of 100 m² in a 1930 building, with three bedrooms and a single bathroom. Two bedrooms hold a large double each and the third a standard double, and Booking.com sells the flat for six. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, and towels, linen, a hairdryer and toilet paper are provided. There is a clothes rack and a wardrobe, and the flat is described as a private apartment within the building.

Heating throughout, a fireplace, a sofa and a seating area, a desk, a dining table and a flat-screen TV carrying streaming services. The kitchen side runs to an oven, a hob, a dishwasher, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee machine, a kettle, a fridge, a minibar and kitchenware, with a washing machine for laundry. Outdoors there is a balcony, a terrace, outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Children's books, DVDs or music are listed despite the no-children rule. Parking and WiFi are both free, and the apartment is non-smoking.

Hellandsgata 29 in Henningsvær, in Vågan municipality on the Austvågøya side of Lofoten, 155 m from the point Kartverket registers for the village. Booking.com records sea and mountain views and calls the setting rural.

Booking.com gives Galleri Espolin as 19 km away, Svolvær Torg, Nordnorsk Kunstnersenter and Lofoten each as 25 km, and Leknes Airport as 60 km. Free private parking comes with the apartment, which is worth knowing in a village where street space runs out in summer.
